th staff were welcoming and friendly; clean and relaxing hotel making it good value for money
there was a mix up over my bill - i settled early (which i think is polite); after departure i received a call to say my bill had not been settled. Following several calls and quotations of receipt numbers it was sorted, but this ending did take the edge off what, overall was a lovely experience
Helpful, friendly multi lingual receptionists. Substantial English breakfast. Handy location to walk to town, many restaurants and laundromat closeby, good walk to Jersey Archives for genealogists, good walk to Condor Ferries. Hotel booked bus tours of Jersey Is for us and advised us of local bus fares and connections. Older Hotel but always well serviced daily and cotton sheets.
Wi-Fi did not work in bedroom. Smokers blocking front door way - disgusting!
Central location. Ok for price.
Hotel did not have a digital tv
Helpfulness of the receptionist and a good breakfast
Generally comfortable with the usual amenities of a coffee/tea making facility, nice downstairs lounge and bar; large en-suite with full bath; for a single booking had large room with two single beds with sheets and blankets on bed not duvets; rooms sensibly have easy chairs to sit on to watch tv. Large self-service Continental breakfast choices, with waiter/ table service for the full English, quite good. Useful location in downtown St. Helier, near bus stop to airport.
Somewhat tired appearance; could do with a bit of an inside face-lift. Unusual features: Tiny 2 persons lift; bathroom at front has normal windows with nets and curtains so you have to pull curtains when going to toilet as it overlooks other side of street; in huge dining room, solo breakfast diners were forcibly seated next to each other in one single row of 2-seater tables whereas 3+ diners got tables dotted all over room! Beware of no parking and only a few "Residents only" spaces across the one-way street. You are directed to a multi-story pay car park in same street(free at weekends).
Although the hotel furnishing are fairly old fashioned, the hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall I enjoyed my stay but small things could be done to make the rooms nicer - matching curtains and bedspreads and a small repair to the curtains. None of these minor points spoilt my enjoyment and I would recommend the hotel for budget travellers.
The location and the price. The bedroom was nicely decorated and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was lots of choice for breakfast.
The bathroom was avocado green and extremely dated. It was very small and the shower could only be described as a drip. We tried turning the nozzle but it seemed "the drip" was the fastest flow. We also could not lock the door. When we queried it with reception we were told that when you take the key out of the door it would lock automatically but it didn'T. We ended up leaving the door unlocked all weekend.
Convenient location in quiet side road near beach and town centre.
Location was very good for central St Helier at a reasonable cost. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
No ambience in restaurant and food could be more exciting. Although I would recommend it that would be based on location and cost. There are plenty of good restaurants in the same road.
It was very well located and within each reach of buses. It was within walking distance of the main shops and restaurants in St. Helier
Decor was a bit dated
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Tea and coffee in room.
Facilities in room very dated. Shower and taps very old. Pampas green toilet suite went out in the 'eighties. Pillows very heavy and lumpy, most uncomfortable. Blanket reminded me of the army issue given to me in 1961. Entering the hotel and room was stepping back thirty to forty years. My wife and I spent a virtually sleeples night because of the pillows (which collapsed as soon as pressure was put on them) and the roughness of the bedding. Needs a complete overhaul and renovation.
The location was excellent as i was attending a sports meeting in Peoples Park. I also enjoyed the breakfast.
We actually didn't stay at the Stafford, as it was closed for the season (one major shock when we arrived at its door!), but we stayed at its sister hotel The Revere. It was great
The room maid was very thorough & pleasant.
The reception staff were rude , unwelcoming, unapproachable, uninformative & did not smile at anytime during our stay.it was a very sombre hotel that was very very uninviting. Breakfast was more like a wake with an atmosphere that was very unpleasant to be in . The entertainment was not entertaining as the bar area was as sombre as the rest of the hotel. We were given no information on the surrounding area or where to go for entertainment in fact we were not even told where to go for breakfast
Great breakfast choice - first class. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very professionally run and the best 2 star hotel we have stayed at. Good value for money.
Difficult to get a drink (alcoholic or otherwise) in the afternoon as bar was closed until the evening but apart from that it was all excellent.
